Because of our current order volume, it has become necessary to do a minimum order of USD $20. This is the cart "Subtotal" and does not include shipping and taxes.

10% Discount for Orders Over $100

All orders over $100 excluding shipping will receive a 10% discount. The Shopping Cart will automatically apply your discount.

Please Use the Shopping Cart

It is important to use the Shopping Cart. This eliminates a majority of the errors that can occur with phone or FAX orders. It is very easy to transpose a number or simply enter an incorrect Item Number.

You do not need to pay online or have a PayPal account to use the Shopping Cart. At checkout the button labeled "Send Order" will email the order to us without requesting payment information.

Using the Shopping Cart will assure you that your order is entered correctly and that your Shipping Address is correct.

Shopping Cart Problems

Cookies on your browser must be set to accept third party cookies. This is the default setting in most browsers.

30 Minute Limit The shopping cart will clear itself if there is no activity for thrity minutes. If you must stop ordering, checkout and pay for your order. You may then place an additional order and we will combine your orders and refund the additional shipping charges and apply your discount. Please place a note in the Special Instructions so we do not miss it.

There is a two hundred (200) item limit to the shopping cart. If you see this notice, checkout and pay for your order. Then continue to shop and complete the remainder of your order. I will then combine your orders and refund additional shipping charges and apply your discount.

International Orders

Please use the Shopping Cart to place your order. Global Priority shipping is automatically selected when you enter your country code. There is no delivery confirmation on International orders however, they are insured through a private insurance company. Since Global priority is determined by size and weight there is no way to to set up the Global Priority shipping so that all package will be shipped at the rate quoted. Most packages will be fine. However, there will be a few instances where a customer orders large items or heavy items that can not be shipped at the rate quoted. In these instances the customer will be contacted with a new shipping rate.

If you place an order and it comes back to us as unclaimed you will have to pay the shipping costs for us to reship the package. If you prefer to have us cancel the order we will do so. However, a 15% restocking fee will be applied to your order. So, if you have a problem with customs not notifiying you that they are holding a package for you you may not want to order. The same thing applies if you have given us a wrong address or incomplete address.

You may want to consider an international postal service to consolidate all your orders placed with companies located in the USA. Bongo International is a popular international postal service and is used by Amazon. com for example.

If your country is not listed on the pull down list then there is no Global Priority shipping available to your address. Please contact me to see if we ship to your country before placing an order.

Shipping

US domestic shipments weighing thirteen (13) ounces or less are shipped USPS First Class. Orders weighing fourteen (14) ounces or more are shipped USPS Priority Mail. This is the default setting. If you package weighs 13oz or less (basically if the shipping cost is less than 7.20) and you would prefer to have it shipped priority there is a pull down menu for you to chose prioity shipping. All orders have delivery confirmation and are insured through a private insurance company.

Due to the fact that the US Postal system no longer offers small global mailers Canadian customers now have a separate shipping menu than US customers. The default is set to International First Class shipping. However, Canadian customers have the option of chosing Global Priority. There is no delivery confirmation on Canadian orders however, they are insured through a private insurance company. Since Global priority is determined by size and weight there is no way to set up the Global Priority shipping so that all package will be shipped at the rate quoted. Most packages will be fine. We have also added an option for express shipping. Since express mail is determined by size and weight there is no way to to set up the the express shipping so that all package will be shipped at the rate quoted. Most packages will be fine. However, there will be a few instances where a customer orders large items or heavy items that can not be shipped at the rate quoted. In these instances the customer will be contacted with a new shipping rate. If you chose express shipping you are obviously in a hurry. So, please add your phone number to the order so that you can be contacted if there is a problem with the shipping rage.

Our packages are picked up in the afternoon. We fill orders Monday through Friday and our packages are shipped Monday through Saturaday. All orders placed before noon central time on Friday will be shipped on Saturday. We try to pull workers from other areas to make sure all packages are closed out for the week. Occasionally some of the packages coming in after noon will also be shipped on Saturday. However, most orders coming in on Friday afternoon and through the rest of the weekend will not go out until Monday or Tuesday. The orders tend to build up over the weekend. Our goal is to have all orders shipped within four business days. Often orders will be shipped the next day. This all depends upon the volume of orders coming in at the time you place your order.

Most packages will arrive within a week or two. However, there are occasions when a package will not take a direct route to its destination. On rare occassions a package has taken up to two months to reach its destination. For this reason I will not resend an order or make a refund until the package has been out there for at least three weeks.

If an order comes back as undeliverable you will be contacted to verify your address. If all is correct a second attempt will be made to ship the package. If an incorrect address (address with any error) was provided said customer will be contacted to pay additional shipping fees to have the package shipped again.

Paying for Your Order

The easiest checkout is PayPal Express. This permits the fastest shipping of your order. To ship to a different address than your PayPal account add a Gift Address to your PayPal account. If you use PayPal and pay with an echeck your order will not be processed until the echeck clears. This usually take 3-4 days. Once cleared the order will be placed with the other orders in the order that it was paid. As stated above our goal is to have the package shipped within four business days. This is four business days from when the echeck has cleared.

In theory you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay for your order with PayPal. It is possible to use your Credit Card through PayPal. Please note that this feature does not always work and when you pay with a Credit Card through PayPal we not receive any of your Credit Card information.

Jan's Jewelry Supplies also accepts MasterCard, and VISA, credit cards. Use the "MasterCard Visa Authorize.net" button to securily pay with your credit card. AuthorizeNet is a secure credit card payment system. Jan's Jewelry Supply does not receive any of your credit card information.

You may also pay using a personal Check or Money Order. Please use the Shopping Cart. Many of the items on Jan's Jewelry Supplies are vintage stock items. This is especially true of the rhinestones. Therefore it is important that the items you order are immediately removed from inventory and reserved for your order. When using the Shopping Cart, email your order to us by using the "Send Order" button and adding your payment information in the text box labeled "Special Instructions / Comments." Also please make sure that your Check or Money Order has the same name on it that you used to place the order and the Order No.

Orders paid for with US money orders will be placed with the other orders in the order they were paid, not ordered. This should be within four business days of reciept.

Due to a number of bad checks recently we no longer ship orders without the checks clearing. All orders paid for with checks will be held for two weeks from the time the check is deposited. After the two weeks the orders will be placed with the other orders in the order they were paid (cleared), not ordered. This should be within four business days of the two week waiting period.

Unpaid orders, will be placed back into inventory after two week have passed.

Order Fulfillment and Adjustments

The quantities on the site are only adjusted as the orders are downloaded. Occassionally there will be instances where orders will not be complete because the quantity shown has not been reduced by orders that have yet to be downloaded. In cases where the orders are not complete the orders will be shipped without being complete. If you do not want an order shipped unless it is complete you need to make a note of this in the note section. This will be the only case where we will hold and order and wait to contact a customer before shipping. Since much of the stock is vintage stock and at least fifteen manufacturers are used to stock the site there is no efficient way to back order and in many cases it is impossible to back order. Customers who paid automatically will be refunded for the missing items after the order has been pulled. If using a credit card the bill will be adjusted before the credit card is processed. Those paying with checks or money order will be refunded by check.

No orders will be pulled without being paid for. It does not pay to spend two hours (or any time at all) pulling orders only to have to spend more time putting them back in stock because they were never paid for.

Combining Orders

We are happy to combine orders if it is brought to our attention. If we notice that there is more than one order by the same person during the same shipping cycle we will automatically combine the orders and reduce your shipping cost. However, the level of activity is such that many times we will not notice that there is more than one order by the same person. If you will bring it to our attention by making a note in the notes section of the order we will combine the orders and send you a copy of the combined invoice. Please bring it to our attention. There is more than one person processing the orders and even if you placed an order twenty minutes earlier there will most likely be other orders between your two orders and they may even be on two different pages in the shopping cart database. We can not be responsible for searching to see if every customer already has a pending order. You need to let us know just in case we don't catch it.

Product Information

If you are ordering brass items keep in mind that brass can vary greatly in color. It may be a bright and shiney gold color, bright and shiney copper color or dull and dingy dark patina (dark and spotty) over a gold or copper color. Also, all items are machine made and some may show mark from the machines (marring or scratching) and need to be buffed or polished out. There is no way to control the way the brass comes in. If you are wanting more consistancy in colors you will do better to order plated items. However, we deal with a number of manufactures as well as platers and the colors of the plated items are not always consistant from one batch to the next. In addition, especially with vintage stock there may be items that have dark spots that may require a dremmel to polish out or they may not come out completely. Brass is considered an unfinished product.

When ordering plated items please keep in mind that the larger the flat surface the more visible scratches and imperfections will be seen in the plating. For example larger cuffs and collar necklaces will show more imperfections than small drops. Due to the texture in filigrees and other textured items imperfects will not be visible. Also when it comes to flat back settings there is a problem with one setting sitting inside of another during plating. Some of the flat back settings may have dark spots on the inside where the stone will sit and some may have dark spots on the back of the settings. Unfortunately this is a the nature of the beast when it comes to plating. The only way around it is to chose a much more expensive process that will in effect make us charge four times more for the settings.

We have continued to manufacture rings and plate bracelets at our customers requests. However, we have been taking considerable losses to try and make our customers happy. This year alone we have lost about $30,000.00 on bad plating. We can't also take losses on items where it is just part of the nature of that particular item. We will check for cracking and any obvious defects. However, when it comes to the rings that we manufacture the area under the overlap may be dark. Sometimes by pure luck that area will polish out in the plating process. Sometimes the customer will need to polish it out and sometimes even after hand polishing it may still a little darker than the rest of the ring. Since this is something that we can not control and happens on a frequent basis we can not be responsible for it. If it is a problem for you and you can't polish them out don't order the rings. In addition all metal will crack if it goes beyond the breaking point. If you adjust the rings too much the plating will crack. You can safely adjust to a size 9. However, anything beyond that could be risky. Also if you pull the ring open beyond the size 9 and close it back you are taking the same risk. If you need them larger you probably should not order them. I am sorry if that sound abrupt. However, it is that or we just stop plating altogether.

Many measurements of items are approximations. If an item comes prepackaged with measurements on the package those measurements are used. If the item does not come with a measurement the best approximation is used. Since stones vary slightly from one manufacturer to another and sometimes from one year to the next I can't guarantee that all stones will fit in the same size setting.

All of the stones, with the exception of some of the acrylic rhinestones, are vintage stones. These stones can be date from as far back as the early 1900's to the 1970's. The color of the stones may vary slightly from year to year. When filling orders we try to make sure that all of the stones are the same shade. However, there are occasions when we are low on stones and will have to fill the order with the stones on hand wether they are all the same shade or not. Some of the foil back stones may have bad foil. We try to catch this and note it in the description. However, when restocking large quantities of vintage stones we do not have time to open every package. If the foil is damaged on the stones you can always remove the foil by soaking them in salt and vinegar.

Since we are constantly adding vintage stock items to the site we won't always catch the fact that there are duplications on the site. You may see the same stone on the site two order possibly even three times. They may be priced the same or they may be priced differently. If you think you are duplicating and item and have concerns about it you should question it. This applies to all vintage stock items. Sometimes we will even get in vintage stock items that are currently being produced. You may see duplications of those items as well. Generally the limited stock item is going to be less expensive than the restock item. There is no way for us the catch every duplication. So, be aware of what you are ordering. Also, there may be stones that are the same stones but, called by a different color. If the stone came in its original package we use the name on the package. If not we use our best judgement in nameing the colors. Once again be aware.

Please be Consistent

Whenever referring to an order please provide the same name that you used when placing the order and provide the date of the order.

Any special requests or instructions concerning your order should be placed in the "Special Instructions / Comments" note section of the Shopping Cart. Please try to avoid putting special notes in the paypal payment. They don't always catch up to the actual orders.

Money Back Guarantee & Sale's Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with the item you receive, C K Marketing will refund the purchase price minus a 15% restocking fee and shipping charges.

To receive your refund the item must be returned to C K Marketing within ten (10) days of receiving your order. C K Marketing must receive the returned item in the same condition as when they were shipped to the customer. In addition, you must obtain an Return Authorization number and have it clearly written on the package. Any returns without an RA number will be returned to the sender. We do not do exchanges, only refunds.

Since many items on the site are either difficult to find or quite possibly one of a kind, it is important to order promptly.
