They have settings for what appears to be 5mm square rhinestones and 7/5mm oval rhinestones. There is a ring all the way around the back where you could attach a jump ring if you wanted to use it as a pendant. You could use two jump rings and run a chain on each side makeing the long side run horizontal. I am not sure how you are suppose to set a stone in these settings. I assume you glue the stone to the pointed prongs that are on the back side. These are gold colored cast pieces. Some look like gold plated and others look like tarnished gold.
