Kits Available
Step 1) Set the stones. Center the stone on the setting. Hold your thumb on the top of the stone and your index finger on the bottom. Take your flat nose pliers and close the front prongs down onto the stones. Turn the stone and setting around and close down the other two prongs. Continue setting the rest of the stones. Fig 1.
Step 2) Use the 7mm round jump rings and connect the stone settings. Take two stone/settings and open a jump ring and run each through the square rings on each setting, connecting them and close the ring. Continue this process until you have two rows of nine stones. If making the
smaller size just make two rows of
eight stones. Fig2.
Step 3) Take eight 2" head pins and cut off the heads and make a loop at one end. If you like you can use eye pins with the loops already formed. (I prefer using head pins so all of my loops are basically the same and it cuts down on stock) To make your loops just use your round nose pliers to grasp the end of the head pin. With your thumb against the pin roll the pliers away from you. Come back with your flat nose pliers to close and center the loops. Fig 3.
Step 4) Now you will start adding the beads. Take a 6mm sapphire bead and place it on one of the eye pins that you just made. Run the pin through the 7mm jump at the end of one of the stone strands. Add two 6mm topaz. Then run the pin through the 7mm jump ring at the end of the second strand of stones. Now add another 6mm sapphire bead. Fig 4. Cut the pin about 3/8" beyond the sapphire bead and form a loop. Fig 5.
Step 5) Continue step four until you have beads connecting all of the jump rings on both strands of stones. The second set of beads are peridot, pink, pink and peridot. The third set of beads are sapphire, aqua, aqua and sapphire. The fourth set of beads are peridot, pink, pink and peridot. The fifth set is the same as the first and is the beginning of the sequence. You may choose to use a different sequence. If you are making the smaller size bracelet you may want to rearrange the sequence. I would suggest leaving out the third row of beads (pink and peridot) and reverse the last two rows of beads. Fig 6.
Step 6) Take the sixteen 7mm beads and place each on a 7/8" head pin. Cut the head pins about 3/8" beyond the beads and form a loop. Don't close the loops. Fig7.
Step 7) Take each of the 7mm beads with loops and close the loops around the loops at both ends of the rows of beads. Fig 8.
Step 8) Open a 7mm by 4mm oval jump ring and run it through one ring on the clasp end and one square loop at the end of the bracelet. Run another jump ring through the other side of the clasp end. Use the same process to connect the clasp end to the other side of the bracelet. Fig 9.
Step 9) Attach the foldover clasp to one of the clasp ends. Place your round nose pliers inside the loop of the foldover clasp. Gently pull up to open it enough to place on the bar of the clasp end. Once you have the loop on the bar take you flat nose pliers and close the loop down onto the bar.
Your finished bracelet should look like this!!!
