Pink Flower Brooch

Supplies
24mm brass disk
20mm brass bar pin
8mm round brass setting
8mm pink rhinestone
28 12mm by 5mm pink leaves

Kits Available in four colors

1) Solder or glue the bar pin to the back side of the brass disk. If you are gluing the bar pin on you may want to do that last. It is actually easier to place the leaves on a flat surface. (Fig 1)

2) Place a generous amount of glue about 1/4" around the rim of the front of the brass disk. Take sixteen of the pink flower leaves and start placing them on the glue. Make sure to have about 1/4" of the tip of each leaf on the brass leaving the rest of the leaf beyond the edge of the brass. (fig2)

3)After the first row has dried lay down some more glue covering the very tip of the leaves on the brass and a bit of the inner circle of brass that remain. (fig 3)

4) Let the glue on the second row of leaves dry. They should look something like this. (fig 4)

5) Once the glue on both rows of leaves dry place the 8mm rhinestone in its setting and close the prongs. Place a bit of glue in the center on the remaining brass and place the setting on the glue. After the glue for the setting has dried you can go back and glue the bar pin on if you haven't already done so. If you want matching earrings you can glue ear clips to the brass disks or use ear clips with 24mm pads and repeat the same process.(fig 5)
