Pink Rhinestone Necklace
Supplies (fig 1)
11 14mm by 10mm settings with scalloped edges
11 14mm by 10mm flat back stones
8 8mm settings with two loops
10 8mm rhinestones with pointed backs
2 earrings findings with 8mm settings
18 4mm jump rings
2 5mm jump rings
1 10mm lobster clasp
7" of decorative chain
1)Take nine of your flat back settings and bend one of the scalloped edges on each side of the top. This should give you two loops to connect to the rhinestones. Take the remaining two setting and fold back one loop at the top of each. These will be for dangling on the earrings. (Fig 2)
2)Take all of the flat back settings and place your flat back stones in them. Fold the scalloped edges that have not been bent flat and bend them towards the stones and secure them tightly. Take eight of the rhinestones and set them in the 8mm settings and fold down the prongs. (fig 3)
3)Take your 4mm jump rings and begin connecting the flat back settings that have the two scalloped edges bent flat and the round rhinestone settings. Start with a flat back setting and end with a flat back setting. (fig 4)
4) You should end up with a chain of nine scalloped oval settings and eight round settings. (fig 5)
5) Cut the 7" chain in half. Using the 4mm jump rings connect one 3 1/2" piece of chain to each end of the rhinestone chain that you just made.
(fig 6)
6)Take one of the 5mm jump rings and connect it to one end of the chain. Use the other 5mm jump ring to connect the other end of the chain to the lobster clasp (fig 7)
7) Take the remaining two pointed back rhinestones and set them in the earrings settings. Once you have set the rhinestones take the last two oval settings and hook the scalloped edge that has been bent flat on to the loop of the earring finding and close the loop. (fig 8)
8) Your completed set should look something like this. (fig 9)
